The goal of the AmericInn of Prairie du Chien is to be the standard by which all other lodging is compared. The franchise awards and guest satisfaction scores indicate that is being achieved. The guest is greeted with a check in snack and followed by warm cookies and milk from 7 to 9. Free DVD's and players and complimentary popcorn are available at the front desk. An indoor heated pool and whirlpool spa are a welcome place to relax. Pool toys are available for children. An exercise room is provided. A business center is available in the lobby. A full body massage chair is available in a private room. Serta Plush top mattresses are used throughout as well as six rooms equipped with the Sleep Number beds by Select Comfort. The hotel boasts of one of the best breakfasts in the business. The king rooms have leather recliners and all rooms have 32" LCD televisions. January 1, 2008 the hotel will become a completely non-smoking hotel.

A Southwestern Wisconsin Tradition where the Wisconsin River joins the mighty Mississippi in a majestic meeting. Where towering bluffs, beautiful waterways and fascinating history all converge in an area as breathtaking in natural beauty as it is diverse in recreational activities. The Brisbois Motor Inn is named after the famous fur trader, Michel Brisbois, a French-Canadian voyageur who came to Prairie du Chien in 1781 to attend the fur-trading rendezvous held in the spring and fall of each year. Originally Brisbois came to trade furs for the Hudson Bay Trading Company, but ended up making his home in Prairie du Chien where he became a baker. Because of the instability of government currency, Brisbois seized upon an opportunity and his bread soon became a primary currency of exchange within the community. The beaver in the Brisbois Motor Inn logo symbolizes the primary fur trapped during this era. The Brisbois Motor Inn is an established lodging tradition, offering comfort and service in the great Mississippi River Valley. As second generation family innkeepers, the Frydenlunds have been serving vacationers and modern-day voyagers for over 50 years.
